What is Noopept?

Noopept is a nootropic which is one of the latest additions to the racetam group. Noopept is often compared to the original racetam, however it is much more potent and has a high bioactivity. Some people claim that Noopept is up to 1000 times more potent than the original racetam. This makes it one of the most powerful nootropics on the market. Therefore, Noopept should be taken at much lower doses compared to other nootropics (please see below).

When ingested Noopept is very rapidly absorbed and metabolised. It demonstrates a stimulatory effect on nerve growth factor (NGF) and brain derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF). Both of these neurotrophins play a key role in cognitive functions, including learning, by promoting the growth and survival of neurons.

Several studies have demonstrated that Noopept improves memory and learning capacity. In comparison to other racetams, Noopept not only affects short-term memory but also has a very positive effect on the long-term memory. Noopept may also prevent cognitive decline. Its effectiveness has been showed in patients with different cognitive impairments.

Key benefits:

  • Improved memory retention
  • Increased learning capacity
  • Enhanced cognition
  • Neuroprotective effects

Noopept long-term effects:

One of the main long-term effects of Noopept is neuroprotection. The cell-growth promotion properties of Noopept are unlike any other nootropic. It helps the brain to protect and promote the growth of neurons. Therefore, even after ceasing the consumption, users still enjoy the benefits of Noopept for quite a while.

Mechanisms of action:

As with other nootropics, the precise mechanisms of action are still being investigated. However, Noopept appears to increase cycloprolylglycine levels, the endogenous (naturally occurring) neurodipeptide. Cycloprolylglycine is a memory facilitating substance. Noopept may also have a sensitizing effect on acetylcholine processes and initiation of neurotrophins (i.e., BDNF & NGF) production. The brain function measured by EEG activity patterns is comparable between Noopept and original racetams.

Recommended dosage:

The recommended daily dosage is between 15-30 mg. Some users report benefits even after 15 mg daily dosage. Therefore, you should start with the lowest dosage and test the effects. Due to its slight stimulatory effect, it is not advised that you take Noopept late in the evening. Noopept is water soluble and has a bioavailability of around 10%. It appears that Noopept has a longer lasting effect in comparison to original racetams.

Side effects:

Noopept is a safe and non-toxic nootropic with a subtle psychostimulatory effect. Clinical trials have found no serious side effects. Therefore, if used within the recommended dosage, Noopept is virtually risk-free. However, because of its potency users who have taken Noopept over the recommended dosage have reported some side effects. These include stomach problems and irritability.

Bioavailability of Noopept:

Noopept has an oral bioavailability of around 10%. Noopept easily crosses the blood-brain barrier and exerts its effects. In terms of blood serum and neural concentrations following Noopept ingestion there is very little difference. This makes Noopept a very effective nootropic and is attributed to the fact that Noopept does not change its structure after entering circulation. The main metabolite of Noopept is called cycloprolylglycine. Elimination rate of Noopept in humans is relatively slow in comparison to other species.

Free sample reeled me in...
1st of all A great touch with the free sample. Who can turn down a free sample right? But what was even better was that it helped me a lot. I am a student and read an article on the effects and help nootropics can give to people wanting to increase their learning capacity. Noopept was one of the top rated, so after looking around on google I came across thoughtfoods.Great service, great product.

Wide ranging effects
Noopept isn’t just for attention and memory formation, interestingly I also find it helps me sleep better and be extremely sociable (my friends may not like this!). The more good effects, the better :)

My daily supplement
Noopept has very quickly became a nootropic supplement that I have started to take every day, along with choline. Choline and noopept work well together, as anyone who knows about racetams, a source of choline is essential to counteract the side effects. My memory recall and general brain energy has never been very good, but these supplements improve them drastically. Quality product will order again

Med student recommended!
This product is amazing in my opinion. I purposely began experimenting with nootropics to help me focus and study better at NSU (go sharks whoooo!). And although this is only the second nootropic product I have tried, I love it and will continue to buy more once these run out. The other product I tried was Optimind which compared to Noopept from Thoughtfoods.com...well, it doesn't compare as Noopept affects me waay better than the previous. I am able to study and retain the information I'm reading much more easily now. I used to have to read material at least two times in order to fully understand the material, and sometimes a lot more than that - depending on the subject such as biomedical ethics (boooring!), But with Noopept, although yes ethics is still boring (lol) I find myself reading the material, taking notes as always, but also losing track of time because I get in the "zone"; before I realize, 2+ hours has passed of me studying ethics - the heck?! Aside from the great cognitive enhancing aspects, there are also tremendous mood uplifting properties. The mood it puts me in is comparable to the mood one might feel if they were to come across a sudden large sum of money! It gives me a feeling of extreme well-being with absolutely zero worries in the world. An "I just KNOW everything is going to be alright" kind of feeling. Another bonus is that if you're into working out like I am, Noopept gives you constant motivation to "outdo yourself yesterday".I've never taken Adderall (and I don't ever plan on it) but I would assume Noopept is comparable to it, especially if taken with Phenibut (which is another great product if you find it hard to find right words to say sometimes in situations). There are also no side effects which I have experienced thus far. I asked for a sample of IQUZIL from Thoughtfoods.com and am anxious to try it out when I receive it Until then, I'll continue with Noopept!
